IT is becoming more important within Stahl. In order to guarantee excellent performance within the whole scope of IT, the Global IT team is working on a more standardized, centralized, and structured approach for IT.

Most IT tasks belonging to globally available services like e-mail, servers, Applications, WAN and Network connectivity are performed by Global IT. As a legacy from acquisitions and local autonomy, there’s an interesting potential to standardize legacy bespoke solutions by standard applications based on a “Microsoft unless” policy. Due to the new way of working (Smart Working), and the usage of more (Microsoft) Cloud based applications, there is a growing need for a global role within Stahl who is co-responsible for the Cloud applications and general applications.

The Global IT team in Stahl is changing. A separation between “Design & Build” and “Operations” has been defined. The Design and Build team is responsible for designing and building the solutions, to maintain the life cycle of that solution and execute major changes.
The Operations team is responsible for normal day to day operations tasks, service requests and minor changes. The role described in this profile is part of the “Design & Build” team.

What will you do as a Cloud and Infra Application Engineer?

The Cloud and Infra Engineer (CIAE) is responsible for the implementation, configuration, support, and life cycle of all (Microsoft) Cloud based applications in Stahl. The CIAE also supports the IT Infra Engineer and the Network engineer in all projects and issues in IT Infra, networking, and legacy applications.

The CIAE supports the business in the usage and adoption of Cloud based Microsoft applications (SharePoint, Exchange, Teams) and helps them to make a choice for the best solution for new requests.

The Cloud and Infra Application Engineer is part of the Global IT Design and Build team and thus employed by Stahl Holdings. The CIAE reports to the Global IT Infrastructure Manager.
