What will you do as a Global IT Service Desk Engineer?

Our Global Service and Delivery Team, located in our International Headquarters in Waalwijk, is responsible for the daily IT Service Operation for the different local organizations. The Team is the first point of contact for our local IT Officers for incident resolution and acts mainly based on scripted procedures and an exhaustive Known Error Database. The team is also responsible for implementation of standard IT changes and monitors system security.

Tasks & Responsibilities 

  • Identity and access management for AD SAP and other applications. This includes user (license) and token administration
  • Global service desk ticket intake and (re)classification.
  • Solve incidents and execute service requests
  • Dispatch calls to other Support Groups or send tickets to vendors
  • Control and check ticket status and report ticket handling performance to IT management
  • Monitor Server and Network status, including back-up status and performance.
  • Monitor and review of security incidents
  • Maintain internal documentation, i.e. user instructions

Your skills & experience

  • MBO or similar degree, preferably in informatics or information management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a service management organization.
  • Experience Microsoft 365 and related 365 cloud solutions
  • Knowledge of security applications and network is an advantage
  • Experience in the usage of an IT service management system.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English (verbal and in writing).
  • Good communicative skills and customer-oriented
  • Basic SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Problem-solving skills and a drive to develop oneself, as well as the IT-organization
