Huub van Beijeren, Chief Executive Officer & Board Member

Huub van Beijeren is Stahl’s Chief Executive Officer since 2007. He has led the company through the financial crisis and succeeded in making Stahl the market leader in process chemicals for leather and other substrates. Huub van Beijeren leads more than 2,000+ employees and is focused on accelerating the process of making the entire leather processing chain more sustainable.

Huub led the successful take-over and integration of Clariant Leather Services in 2014-2015, transforming the group in a company with + EUR 630 million turnover and an EBITDA of EUR 125-130 million in 2015. He currently leads the acquisition of the BASF Leather Chemicals business, which is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2017.

In March 2016, Huub received an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Northampton, in recognition of the contribution to the international leather industry and support for the University’s endeavors in the area of leather education.

Background
Huub has a broad experience in a variety of international manufacturing industries, in public companies in a corporate governance environment and in the private equity world. He has experience in working on a worldwide scale, in a diversity of cultures and circumstances.

Prior to Stahl, he was Director of the Paper and Packaging Industry of DS Smith plc. and at British VITA plc., a polymer manufacturer. Huub gained experience in the textile industry during his time as Director of four textile factories at Gamma Holding NV. Huub holds a Bachelor degree in Law from the University of Utrecht and a MSc in Company Law from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands.
