During deliming, the pH value of the hides and skins is brought to the required level for the next stage, bating. Decaltal® ES-N Liq

Decaltal® ES-N Liq is a fully organic deliming agent for use in low-nitrogen and nitrogen-free processes. It quickly penetrates through the skin, even with thick pelts, and the calcium salts that it forms dissolve easily in water. Decaltal® ES-N Liq has a mild degreasing action that allows the leather to be dyed more effectively and in a greater range of shades. It doesn’t fix scud to the pelts or cause lime blast. It is easy to handle and you don’t need any special equipment to use. It is readily biodegradable and the effluent is free of ammonium salts, making Decaltal® ES-N Liq a low-impact alternative to traditional deliming agents.

Decaltal® N

Decaltal® N is a deliming agent based on acidic salts of polybasic-aromatic acids. It can penetrate quickly, even through thickly limed pelts. The calcium salts that it forms dissolve easily. Decaltal® N is suitable for use on all types of raw stock in the production of all types of leather. It speeds up the deliming process and gives leather a very fine, tight grain and superior fullness.

Decaltal® Pic A

Decaltal® Pic A is a water-soluble low-VOC dicarboxylic acid. It can be used as a deliming agent. Decaltal® Pic A is used with other deliming agents to intensify their effect to achieve quicker penetration and de-lime them more evenly throughout the cross-section. The product also removes lime blasts because it readily forms soluble calcium and sodium salts.

Decaltal® Pic S

As a mixture of weak, water-soluble aliphatic-dicarboxylic acids with masking effect, Decaltal® Pic S can be used as a deliming agent and pickle acid for leather and as a soaking and pickling auxiliary for dressing fur skins. It accelerates deliming by forming soluble calcium and sodium salts, promoting the removal of lime that is bound chemically to the skin and which is often apparent in the form of lime blasts. Decaltal® Pic S does not add to the ammonium load of the wastewater. The improved absorption and distribution of the chrome tanning agent makes it possible to reduce the quantity and obtain full and tight-grained leathers. When used to soak fur pelts, Decaltal® Pic S is combined with common salt to prevent acid swelling. Decaltal® Pic S reduces hair slip in the low pH range and leads to better fleshing results.

Decaltal® RN

Stahl Decaltal® RN is a deliming agent based on organic and inorganic salts. It penetrates even the thickest limed pelts quickly and the calcium salts that it forms dissolve easily. Decaltal® RN is suitable for use on all types of raw stock in the production of all types of leather. Besides giving leather a very fine, tight grain and superior fullness, Decaltal® RN also speeds up the deliming process.

Dekalon® CL

Dekalon® CL is a deliming agent based on organic and inorganic salts. It has been developed for rapid and even deliming of all leather types. It can be used on limed split and full-substance hides to good effect, with the resulting pelts having a smooth, clean and flat grain after deliming.
