Stahl Global SHE & Process Safety Manager starts two-year term on January 1, 2020

Waalwijk, the Netherlands, November 21, 2019 – Dr. Alexis Pey, Global SHE & Process Safety Manager at Stahl, has been named as charity trustee (executive board member) at the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE). The appointment, which begins on January 1, 2020, and runs for two years, underlines Stahl’s industry leading role in safety, health and environmental practices.

The appointment of Dr. Pey will enable Stahl to share its expertise on process safety with the chemical engineering community. The company has a proven track record when it comes to safety, health and environment (SHE), based on activities, policies, monitoring, reporting and training programs that are aimed at creating a true safety culture with zero injuries and accidents. The addition of Dr. Pey to the executive board will allow the EFCE to use Stahl’s know-how and experience to advise and support member organizations, working towards sustainable development within the chemical industry.

Founded in 1953, the EFCE serves the European chemical engineering community by offering expertise, supporting research programs and promoting scientific collaboration within the industry. It provides a platform for views and opinions, training and education by organizing various awards and events on the topics of digitalization, sustainability and energy. The EFCE currently comprises 36 member societies in 28 European countries.
