Globally, Stahl has taken measures to limit the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Stahl people around the world continue to do their jobs with commitment, enthusiasm and professionalism, while observing the necessary safety and hygiene guidelines. Sonia Zapata, Global Product Management for Leather Finish is one of our colleagues that has seen big changes in her daily work. We asked her a few questions how the outbreak changed her daily worklife.

What is your function what are your main responsibilities? 
I am Sonia Zapata, I work as Global Product Management for Leather Finish at Stahl.

How has the Covid-19 situation affected your daily work-life? 
Due to situation of confinement for Covid-19, I am working from home since 11th March, luckily the use of technology allows me to continue working in the most normal way. I have learned the importance of being close to my colleagues even in the distance, I’m using digital platforms to stay connected with them, we have discussions, meetings, calls to stay updated and feel connected even while working from home. The main challenge for me was manage my personal life along with work having two daughters around me all the time.

How did you adapt to the current situation? 
We schedule daily “things-to-do-list” for our work but also for family and home, it is flexible in time, which means that we don’t start working at 8:00h, but neither stop at 17:00h, so this gives us the chance to comply all of our obligations efficiently.

Which positive changes have you experienced and wish you could to maintain? 
Obviously, these are challenging times for all of us but one thing I would like to maintain is the flexibility of remote working
