ESG Reporting Manager (Netherlands)

YOUR NEXT CAREER STEP:

This role will be responsible for leading the reporting process for ESG, both internally and externally to our stakeholders. The jobholder will report in the ESG team with a strong connection with the Finance team and other internal stakeholders to strengthen our ESG leadership position and ensure compliance to ESG-related reporting requirements. In the future also CSRD and CS3D will be part of this role.

The focus of this position is on reporting, but it is also an opportunity for someone who wants to be part of Stahl’s ambitious journey towards ESG leadership. Obviously, reporting is all about understanding the needs of our key stakeholders, our ambitions & duties and give clarity on our performance and improvement areas. In fact, we see a critical merging of our non-financial and financial information, which means that the quality, availability, and process behind non-financial information has the potential to improve very quickly.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the collection of non-financial / ESG data from different departments and external sources.

  • Analyze ESG data to identify trends, performance indicators, and areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement mindset through the organization.

  • Develop methodologies for data verification and validation.

  • Optimize the internal reporting process to support our ESG strategy and ESG roadmap to 2030.

  • Compliance with EU Sustainability reporting requirements, such as EU Taxonomy (and later on CSRD), alignment with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.

  • Coordination of annual ESG audits & Stahl ESG Annual report.

  • Scoping future reporting requirements and automation enhancements for non-financial KPI reporting

  • Work in close collaboration with IT to embed ESG reporting in our data systems to enhance quality, internal process, and consolidation.

  • Work with the ESG team on streamlining scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions calculations & annual EcoVadis evaluation.

  • Work with the CSRD reporting manager to prepare for CSRD reporting.

  • Reporting Frameworks:

  • EU Taxonomy (reporting since 2021), annual Stahl ESG reporting, CSRD (as from 2025/2026) and CS3D (as from 2029).

 

YOUR PROFILE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDE:

  • Experience in corporate finance and accounting desired.

  • Experience with ESG/non-financial reporting is a bonus.

  • Business administration or financial qualifications.

  • Good communicator, verbal and written.

  • Data driven, comfortable with data complexity,

  • Rigorous about consistency in reporting.

  • Mastery of English, oral and written.

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, with people from different backgrounds, knowledge base, culture, and locations.

  • Collaborative, curious, persevering.
