YOUR NEXT CAREER STEP:
The role of Local Purchaser is a key position in our company. The purpose of this position is  guarantee supply, in time and price, of indirect materials and services required by Mexico Stahl site, based in Local & Global procedures, polices in order to ensure organizational process continuity.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ​Ensure all purchased services required are appropriately negotiated and contracts bring competitive advantage to Stahl 

  • ​With the guidance and support from the Indirects organisation, you will lead and execute sourcing & capex projects including supplier negotiation (including pricing, contracts and payment terms), award recommendations, supplier risk management and contract execution 

  • ​Develop and deliver procurement savings plans on Indirect category in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring quantifiable cashable efficiencies are identified, prioritized delivered and reported 

  • ​Deliver sustainable improvements in terms of cost, quality, service, innovation and sustainability, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders

  • ​Build a supplier base to increase the opportunity and scout for alternatives when needed

  • ​Identify and resolve supplier (performance) issues to ensure internal stakeholder satisfaction  

  • Manage contract reviews ensuring contract performance is managed in line with KPI's  

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to achieve the benefits by: 
    - Work in cross functional teams 
    - Establish and maintain relationships with high performing suppliers  
    - Apply a collaborative approach to supplier relationship management. 

  • ​Personal accountability for c.a. 5-10M€ spend

  • Set up Stahl USA Info Records/ Vendor Master Data, code of conduct, DD, ECOVADIS, ISO 9001 /14001/ 45001 audits, OTIF, supplier complaints in SCM;

  • Negotiate indirect items: office supplies, MRO, lab supplies, nitrogen, MRO, offices, etc.

  • PO creation for CAPEX, indirect

 

YOUR PROFILE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDE:

  • Bachelor Administration, Industrial Engineer, Chemist or similar education.

  • English (business level)

  • 5 years in similar or equivalent position in Manufacturing companies, preferably Chemicals

  • SAP and MS Office information systems (Excel, Power Point, Word)

  • Required Knowledge in  Administration, Supply chain, Chemical compatibility, Customer Service, Petrochemical, Business & International Commerce

  • Creativity and Innovation and an eye for opportunities

  • Dare to challenge with a Continuous improvement mentality.
