Acrylic resins that add resistant, versatile protection
Stahl’s acrylic resins can be used as sealer and base coats to add high-performance leather protection for a range of upholstery, garment, shoes & leather goods and automotive applications. Our acrylic resins offer a variety of particle sizes, film hardness, and glass transition temperatures and includes products from our Corial® and Melio® portfolios.

High-performance Corial® binders
Stahl’s Corial® binders are resins with medium-to-fine particle sizes that produce very soft to medium-hard film hardness. They are particularly recommended for garments, shoes and other leather goods applications. Our Corial® binders add a range of properties like low tack, natural finishing, softness, adhesion, and good milling and printing properties. They can be used on a range of leathers, from corrected grain to nappa and other full grain leathers. Corial® Microbinder AM and P can be used to achieve a natural look and character, where Corial® Binder EV has high filling properties.
Soft, effective Melio® resins
Our range of Melio® resins have fine-to-medium particle sizes and produce very soft to medium-soft film hardness. They offer various resistance properties (cut-through, cold crack, water-drop) as well as adhesion and good print retention. In this way, they add effective protection to leather for various applications, including automotive. Melio® Resin A-946 has excellent cold crack and flex resistance, where Melio® Resin A-931.A is self-crosslinkable.
Versatile and resistant RA resins
Stahl’s RA resins include fine, medium and fine particle sizes and produce soft to very hard films. Many are self-crosslinkable and offer good adhesion and print retention, and a natural look. These resins also offer other high-performance properties such as solvent, water and acetone resistance, covering, and mechanical stability. In addition, RA-2 is non-yellowing, and RA-1216 can add a craquele effect. Our RA resins are recommended for automotive and shoes and leather goods applications but can also be used for garment and upholstery applications.
