Shifting towards a circular economy is the next step in the industrial revolution
27 June 2022 - Our earth is exhausted. Today we take more from nature’s resources than our planet can provide. Clearly, that fact alone means we have to stop using finite resources and look for ways to reduce the environmental footprint of the leather industry. Therefore it is important to focus on redesigning our products and processes by using responsible chemistry and resourcing. In this article, I share my thoughts on what I see as the unavoidable transition to a circular economy, and what companies can do to contribute to a better planet.

Stahl Polymers launches Relca® PD-805 matting resin to tackle environmental and supply-side challenges
1 June 2022 - Stahl, an active proponent of responsible chemistry, has introduced a new, water-based, and additive-free matting resin, Relca® PD-805, to its Relca® Matt Binders portfolio. The 100% clean, VOC-free solution is targeted at paint and coating and printing and packaging markets, providing a safe, affordable, and high-quality matting performance for wood, metal, plastic, and glass. In this way, Relca® PD-805 helps customers to achieve regulatory and environmental compliance while also ensuring a superior matte finish.
Stahl releases annual ESG report to drive focus on value-chain sustainability and transparency
Waalwijk, the Netherlands, 10 May, 2022 – Stahl, an active proponent of responsible chemistry, has today published its 2021 Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report. The report outlines the company’s sustainable development ambitions and its achievements over the year. It also features Stahl’s ambitious climate mitigation targets for 2030, such as the transition to more renewable feedstocks. Stahl’s 2021 ESG Report is available as a fully digital version.

Waalwijk, The Netherlands, 28 April 2022 – Stahl, an active proponent of responsible chemistry, today announces the launch of Stahl Sensora®, a portfolio of high-performance coatings for packaging, designed to offer a unique sensory experience.
