Meet Gökhan Kaptana

Our team members are the driving force behind Stahl. In this People of Stahl story, we explore the journey of Gökhan, who thrives in the dynamic work environment at Stahl Turkey. 

How long have you been with Stahl? What first attracted you to the company?  

Including the time spent at the company acquired in 2014, I've been with the organization for a total of 27 years. Its position as the most successful company in the sector is what initially attracted me. 

What is your role? Can you share an interesting fact about the work you do?  

I work as a Leather Finishing Lab Tech and SHE Coordinator at Stahl Turkey. The COVID-19 pandemic underscored for me the vital role of teamwork and collaboration in overcoming challenges. 

What do you like most about working at Stahl, and what are the biggest challenges?  

What I love most about working here is the dynamic and active work environment that keeps me engaged and always on my toes. Being in a fast-paced setting where there’s always something to do is truly motivating. The biggest challenge, however, is ensuring customer satisfaction. It’s a constant effort to meet expectations and deliver high-quality results, but it's also what drives me to stay focused and deliver my best work every day. 

How does your work support Stahl’s purpose: Touching lives, for a better world?  

My work directly supports our company’s purpose by helping us bring innovative solutions to the market. By focusing on continuous improvement and staying ahead of industry trends, I contribute to creating products and services that not only meet but exceed customer expectations. 

If you were CEO of Stahl for the day, what would you do?  

If I were CEO for the day, I would connect with my colleagues through social activities. I believe building relationships outside of work fosters better communication and teamwork, helping to strengthen our workplace culture and align everyone with the company’s goals. 

How do you spend your free time outside of work?  

In my free time, I enjoy watching car races, taking walks to relax, and researching historical topics, which I find fascinating and insightful.
