Meet Muhammad Javed

At Stahl, our success is built on the strength of our people. Muhammad Javed, a Sales Manager in Pakistan, is a perfect example of how dedication drives our mission forward. In this story, Muhammad opens up about his challenges and what aspects he likes most about working at Stahl. 

How long have you been with Stahl? What first attracted you to the company?  

I’ve been with the company since 1993, gaining 33 years of experience. I started as a Lab Technician at the Karachi site in Pakistan and have always approached my work with a strong commitment to hard work and passion. I thrive in dynamic environments where creativity is encouraged, and fresh ideas are valued. 

I’m particularly excited about this position because it offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients. The company’s stellar reputation for supporting global businesses and its strong brand recognition resonate with me. I’m passionate about tackling challenges and contributing to the growth of businesses of all sizes, and I look forward to using my skills to help create sustainable growth. 

What is your role? Can you share an interesting fact about the work you do?  

I am currently the Sales Manager for Stahl Pakistan and the Middle East, as well as the Business Manager for the Leather division in the Shoe Finish & Leather Care department. In this role, I oversee daily sales and marketing operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. I focus on both strategic planning and hands-on management to align our sales efforts with the company's broader goals and drive profitability. 

What do you like most about working at Stahl, and what are the biggest challenges?  

What I enjoy most about working at Stahl is the company’s strong culture of open communication and collaboration. It's not just about products and services; it's about being part of something meaningful, driven by innovation and sustainable growth. 
 
I’m proud to work for a company that makes a real impact on people’s lives and connects with the world around us, all while staying grounded in a clear sense of purpose. 

One of the challenges I face when overseeing teams is ensuring effective communication, as every team member brings a unique personality and style to the table. 

How does your work support Stahl’s purpose: Touching lives, for a better world?  

In my role, I contribute to our purpose by motivating my team to look beyond just selling products and recognize the deeper value they offer. I encourage them to leverage our company’s technological strengths to deliver innovative solutions that truly make a difference—improving lives and fostering a more sustainable, connected world. 

If you were CEO of Stahl for the day, what would you do?  

If I were CEO for a day, my focus would be on building a culture where employees feel genuinely valued and empowered. I believe that employee satisfaction and engagement are the key to success. I would begin by actively listening to our teams, understanding their needs, and ensuring they have the resources and support to thrive. After all, when you invest in your people, they are the driving force behind the company’s success and innovation. 

How do you spend your free time outside of work?  

One of my favourite hobbies is traveling within the country by car, especially long drives. I love driving as it gives me the chance to explore new places, immerse myself in different cultures, and appreciate the diverse beauty of our country. These journeys offer a refreshing break while also providing valuable insights into the history, traditions, and lifestyles of the people in each region.
