Stahl renews ZDHC level 3 certification
Waalwijk, the Netherlands, 1 June 2026 – Stahl, a global provider of speciality coatings for flexible materials, has once again achieved Level 3 certification under the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) V3.1. This renewed certification underlines Stahl’s continued leadership in responsible chemical management and its commitment to driving sustainability across the value chain.
Level 3 represents the highest conformance level within the ZDHC MRSL framework, recognising companies that demonstrate best-in-class chemical management practices and transparency. By successfully renewing this certification, Stahl confirms that its Leather Finishing and the synthetics and coated fabric segments of the Performance Coatings portfolio meets the most stringent industry requirements for safer chemistry.
Following re-certification, Stahl’s products will remain listed on the ZDHC Gateway until May 2028.
“This achievement highlights the expertise and drive of our teams, and reflects our continued focus on creating more sustainable solutions that help our customers and partners build a more responsible and forward-looking industry,” said Laura Willemsen, Group Director Sustainability and Marketing at Stahl.
